CLASSICAL BONES. JAZZ BREATH.

Music built with a performer's instinct, a musician's ear and an effortlessly expansive approach.

Logan Shadrick is an Atlanta-based guitarist-composer creating modern fusion music, where jazz meets classical, indie, and the spaces in between.

Logan Shadrick grew up in a house filled with creative sound. Drums at nine, quickly followed by guitar and piano. Then jazz, a kindred spirit that changed the way he heard music.
Jazz arrived like a revelation. “It breathed. It danced. It spoke in a way that felt human: emotional and alive.” It taught him the power of space, the freedom inside structure, and the art of listening between the notes.
He received a scholarship to study jazz guitar at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. There he performed with the Natalie Boeyink Jazz Ensemble, contributing solo guitar on Antonio Carlos Rabine’s “How Insensitive” and Miles Davis’s “Four.”
He valued his time at Indiana, but a desire to study film scoring pulled him in a different direction. He then transferred to Berklee College of Music to study music composition for film, TV and video games.
Today his solo work lives in a world of close, tactile arrangements where familiar emotions are explored and revoiced. Classical attention to line meets jazz reharmonization and the spaciousness of indie music. He scores film from the same  space. The result is intimate, cinematic, and effortlessly expansive.
